Ms. Ishi Khosla is a practicing clinical nutritionist, columnist, author, an entrepreneur, researcher and welfare worker.

She is actively involved in clinical practice at the Centre For Dietary Counseling in Delhi where she deals with a wide range of nutrition related health problems including obesity, diabetes, cardio-vascular disease, food allergies, digestive, immune system, neuro psychiatric and endocrine disorders in adults and children. 1. Raising Nutritional Awareness in the community at large

  • • Consultant and Advisor: With 25 years of experience in field of nutrition, Ms. Ishi Khosla is consultant and on the Board of several organizations- corporates, multi-nationals and educational institutions including Mother Dairy, Pepsico, Merrisant Equal, Nestle, Marico, Almond Board of California, Usha Sriram, Ferrero Roschers, Zespri International Limited, Tetrapak, Lufthansa, ITC, The Doon School (Dehradun), Genesis Global School (Delhi), VidyaGyan Schools (Shiv Nadar Foundation), to name a few. She is also an Advisor to the National Television and is a Board member of Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi- the oldest and prestigious institution of nutrition in the country.
  • • Workshops on Nutrition Education: Ms. Khosla lectures extensively in schools, colleges, educational institutions and corporates.
  • • Columns & Books: Ms. Khosla writes regular columns for national newspapers Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Tribune and several magazines including Prevention, Exotica, B Positive, City scan to name a few.
    • • The Book ‘Is Wheat Killing You?’ was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dikshit.

  • • Newsletters & film: Annual ‘Celiac News & Views’ is printed and circulated every year. It has a circulation of about 10-15, 000 copies / year.
  • 'Cure is in the Cause', a brief 10 minute film on celiac disease has been created to spread awareness about this condition among the public at large. The film has also been screened on big screens as PVR.
  • • Community Outreach Projects
    • • Provision of food for street children, in collaboration with PVR Nest
    • • Free nutritional and medical screening of under-privileged school children at Vidyagyaan schools, Shiv Nadar Foundation
    • • Free consultation to individuals with celiac disease and under- privileged families.
    • • Initiated first Probiotic supplementation for under- privileged school children at Zamroodpur District, Delhi
    • • Free camp for awareness and management of celiac disease at Rewari District, Gurgaon
    • • Nutritional Anemia Programme for beneficiaries of Rotary Club camps and nutrition workshops for Aurobindo Ashram and Arpana, a Charitable trust in Karnal.
  • • Celiac Society of India, incorporated in May, 2006, is the first non-profit organisation with its mission to create awareness about this serious condition and sensitize food manufacturers regarding the gluten-free food. The society brings together eminent practitioners in the field of medicine, education and the food industry.
  • The society will soon have a National status with 8 chapters in India: Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Orissa, Kerala and Hyderabad.
  • To further support the cause, Ms. Khosla provides free consultations to those diagnosed with celiac disease. ‘Celiac Society of India’ funds families below poverty line for gluten-free food and laboratory investigations.

2. PROVIDING NUTRITIONAL SOLUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE

  • Centre For Dietary Counselling: Ms. Khosla is actively involved in clinical practice at the Centre For Dietary Counseling in Delhi, where she deals with a wide range of nutrition related health problems including obesity, cardio-vascular disease, diabetes, gastro-intestinal problems, allergies etc.
  • Theweightmonitor.com, India’s first fully online weight management portal with a global out-reach, was launched in 2012 to address the needs of rapidly changing lifestyles. It provides 24X7 service round the year to its clients.

3. OFFERING HEALTHIER ALTERNATIVES TO UNHEALTHY FOOD

  • Whole Foods, the first of its kind, spearheaded by Ms. Ishi Khosla, with an effort to restore balance in today’s skewed diets and provide healthier options for people who had special nutritional needs including allergen free food, gluten-free food, foods for diabetics, obese, those with lowered immunity and other nutritional requirements.
